BLUE PENCIL

Work in progress show, being developed to get you to laugh, learn, and be inspired.

Mariana Feijó’s will take you on a journey through her life, from growing up in a conservative, Catholic country to exploring her sexuality and identity in London’s vibrant queer and kink scenes.

Through stand-up comedy, Mariana tackles issues of censorship, cultural clashes, and fascism, all while celebrating the power of self-discovery and liberation in a show that promises to be both entertaining and emotionally engaging.

Unapologetically sex-positive and anti-fascist.

Next showing at A Portuguese Love Affair – 326 Hackney Rd, London E2 7AX – 27th April, as part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the toppling of the Portuguese fascist dictatorship.

The show has been performed for the first time on a self produced show in February 2023, at VFDalston, where comedians Cerys Bradley and Lynsey Bonell also performed their work in progress shows.

Blue Pencil was programmed for two dates at A Pinch of Vault Festival, 28th May and 4th June 2023, and the Nunhead Mini Fringe, organised by Lewis Blomfield in association with Piñata, on 11th August 2023.

It has also been shown at The London Hospital Tavern, in Whitechapel, on 8th November 2023, and at Aces & Eights on 20th March 2024.

It reached very respectable stages of applications for venue programmes, but has fallen at the very last hurdles.

It wants more stages and audiences!

Get in touch if you can provide any!
